784-4901. The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) invites
applications and nominations for the position of Business Analyst
or Senior Business Analyst, Finance/Grants. This is a renewable,
full-time, non-tenured, administrative position and reports to the
Assistant Director of Workday. The NSHE is comprised of eight
institutions: three universities, four community colleges, and a
research institute. The public system of higher education in Nevada
continues to experience rapid growth, with significant challenges
and opportunities in serving over 105,000 students and 15,000
employees. The Workday enterprise information systems support the
critical business functions of the NSHE campuses. The incumbent
reports to the Analysis and Configuration Manager and assists NSHE
stakeholders in identifying and configuring business processes and
suggests refinements and improvements to those processes. The
Business Analyst also provides user support in complex problem
analysis and resolution; designs and develops reports,
integrations, and data extracts that support business processes;
develops technical specifications that support application
customizations and enhancements based on Workday Releases and
assists in quality assurance testing. The position serves as a
bridge between the campus functional, internal and external team
members, and the Workday team technical areas, and requires
incumbent to have a higher education functional knowledge as well
as a technical background. STARTING SALARY: *This position offers a
competitive compensation package commensurate with the candidate's
education, experience, and certification/training. Comprehensive

is included. Outstanding Retirement Plan : professional employees
are required to participate in the 401(a) Retirement Plan
Alternative (RPA). Employee contributions of 19.25% are matched

Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) of Nevada may be eligible
to continue in the PERS plan. Paid Leave : generous annual leave

up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate and their
dependents may access an unlimited number of credits, if they meet

Analyst, Finance/Grants : The successful candidate must have a
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or a related field from an
accredited institution is required with two (2) years directly
applicable experience . Two (2) years functional experience in the
areas of Finance or Grants or 2 years Workday Business Analyst
experience. Senior Business Analyst, Finance/Grants : The
successful candidate must have Bachelor's Degree in Information
Systems or a related field from an accredited institution is
required with four (4) years directly applicable experience or
Master's Degree with 2 years directly applicable experience. 2
years functional experience in the areas of Finance or Grants or 2
years Workday Business Analyst experience. Additional 2 years
Workday business analyst experience in the areas of Finance or
Grants. Workday Pro Certification(s), Higher Education Experience,
Demonstrated understanding of Grants Management Applicants should
address the following items in their letter of application when
applying for this position. Knowledge of key business functions in
higher education in the Workday Business Process and overall
system. Knowledge of information systems in higher education to
support the functions above. Knowledge of federal and non-federal
awards, grants, and contracts Knowledge of award setup, management,
billing, and reporting Ability to translate business process
redesign and automation into administrative efficiencies. Ability
and experience in aligning data, policies, workflows, and
information systems. Excellent oral and written communication
skills, specifically with respect to consensus building,
presentation of ideas and plans, listening and translating
specifications/requirements, and project participation. The Senior
Business Analyst must also possess the following: ~ Knowledge of
business process analysis, business process redesign, and process
improvement methods, tools, and techniques. The Business Analyst
provides functional support to users of Workday. Work typically
involves a combination of providing advice and troubleshooting
Workday functional and technical areas. Must have an intermediate
level of functional and Workday configuration knowledge. Must have
WD Fundamentals in one or more core areas (Finance, HCM, Payroll).
Primary contact for functional users needing help with functional
reports and report writing. Primary contact for functional users
needing help with roles and security changes. Intermediate skills
in creating, analyzing, tracking and documenting service desk and
change request tickets within the ticketing system. Intermediate
ability to analyze and document customer needs and requirements in
the tickets. Fosters trusting relationships with customers,
coworkers and supervisors. Provides excellent customer service to
all constituents, documents customer concerns, anticipates customer
concerns, and escalates concerns as appropriate. Helps team meet
its goals and deliver quality work. Respect for his/her peers and
helps where s/he can, making collaborations go smoothly.
Communicates, actively listens, participates, shares, teaches and
effectively communicates to the customer, team members and
supervisor. s/he shows up for work on time, puts in the best effort
and completes projects in a timely and effective manner. Positive
attitude - maintains a professional and congenial attitude when
working with customers and team members. Actively involved in daily
tasks, effectively supports the customer, and engages in the team
to accomplish the goals. Additionally, the Senior Business Analyst
will be expected to: Provide advanced functional support to users
of Workday. Work typically involves a combination of providing
advice and troubleshooting Workday functional and technical areas.
Must have an advanced level of functional and Workday configuration
knowledge. Must have WD Fundamentals in two or more core areas
(Finance, HCM, Payroll) and one must be at advanced level. Performs
system level audits and works with campuses to ensure integrity of
system data. Basic understanding of calculated fields and how they
function. Primary contact for functional users needing help with
functional reports and report writing. Primary contact for
functional users needing help with roles and security changes.
Advanced skills in creating, analyzing, tracking and documenting

system. Intermediate ability to analyze and document customer needs
and requirements in the tickets. Must be able to prepare reports
and filters to track tickets and document configuration changes in
