Job Description:
Ryder, a leader in the logistics and transportation industry, is
seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic to join our team. This
position focuses on providing high-quality repair and maintenance
services for our fleet trailers, ensuring they meet all safety and
operational standards. As a Trailer Mechanic at Ryder, you will
work within a dynamic environment that values innovation and
efficiency, employing advanced techniques and tools to maintain and
enhance our transportation solutions. Perform routine and emergency
maintenance on trailers, including brake systems, electrical
components, and hydraulic units. Conduct thorough inspections and
diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical issues. Maintain
accurate records of performed repairs and scheduled maintenance.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with other team members to expedite repair processes
and improve maintenance protocols. Assist in inventory management
of parts and supplies. Stay updated with the latest industry trends
and techniques in trailer mechanics. Profound knowledge of trailer
systems, including brakes, electrical, and hydraulics. Strong
problem-solving skills and detail-oriented approach. Ability to use
diagnostic tools and technical equipment. Capacity to perform
physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects and
working in varied weather conditions. Effective communication and
documentation skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k ASE Medium-Heavy Truck Certification (T Series
preferable). Valid CDL Class A driver’s license is a plus.
