Job Description Job Description Master's degree in
Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
clinician is needed to provide essential therapy services at a
public elementary school in Mesquite, New Mexico. This contract
position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, close-knit
district dedicated to student success. The role is primarily
on-site with a caseload of approximately 60 students, including
involvement with Structured Communication Classrooms (SCCs). Key
Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language therapy to students,
focusing on current caseload needs and ongoing treatment plans.
Collaborate with a team of skilled, bilingual and monolingual SLPs,
fostering a welcoming and helpful work environment. Support
students using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
methods, with openness to learning and expanding expertise in this
area. Participate in district initiatives and align with
compensatory education plans as they develop. Qualifications: Valid
New Mexico state licensure as an SLP (required before start date).
Public Education Department (PED) certification through the New
Mexico Department of Education; candidates with PED certification
pending may be considered if licensure is current. Credentials as
an SLP with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or SLP -
School endorsements are preferred. Experience or a willingness to
learn about AAC is valued. Bilingual skills are a plus but not
mandatory due to existing bilingual staff on the team. Location and
