Job Description:
JT4 provides engineering and technical support to multiple
western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint
Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. We
develop and maintain realistic integrated test and training
environments, and prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft,
weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's
global challenges. RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION Note: This position
is located in Las Vegas, Nevada --- Support and assist in
developing test planning, test conduct, test processes, test
reports, operation procedures, data deliverables and safety
packages. --- Configuring the battle space, post-test
reconfigurations and preparing the virtual environment with
customer defined threat laydowns. --- Developing and implementation
of threat configurations, SUT configurations and weapons
configurations. --- Operate and act as the role of a flyer/operator
within the simulation environment. --- Instruct, mentor and
demonstrate to fellow flyers and engineers the threat system.

upgrade, operations and integration of constructive, non-real-time
and virtual piloted simulators to the flying quality, air-frame,
propulsion, avionics, sensors, weapon and electronic warfare

groups, design reviews and any other related testing activities.
--- Support development of operational training programs and
department policy. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Each employee must read,
understand, and implement the general and specific operational,
safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans,
procedures, and policies pertaining to his/her job. WORKING
CONDITIONS This position involves work typical of an office
environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting to
20 pounds, constant sitting with occasional use of a computer
terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing
documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for
communication, and constant mental alertness. Routine travel to
remote Company work locations may be required. REQUIREMENTS -
EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE A Bachelor of Science in
engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and 8
years of related engineering experience, or an accredited Master of
Science in engineering and a minimum of 6 years of related
engineering experience, or an accredited doctorate degree in
engineering and a minimum 4 years of related engineering experience
are required for this position. In addition, an Engineer IV must
possess the following qualifications: --- Comprehensive knowledge
of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering to provide
consultative services on development programs and in the design and
development of systems and components --- Knowledge and skill
sufficient to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve
complex problems in the specialty area --- Working knowledge of
computer systems and computer-based engineering tools ---
Well-developed leadership skills --- Ability to investigate,
troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems from a broad
prospective --- Excellent communication and analytical skills ---
Planning/organizational skills and the ability to work under
