Brightline West is a groundbreaking high-speed rail project connecting Las Vegas, NV to Rancho Cucamonga, CA. This project involves the construction of 220 miles of new single track with passing loops in the I-15 corridor, enabling speeds up to 186 mph and reducing trip time to less than 2 - hours! The project strives to remove 3 million cars annually, save 400,000 tons of CO2, and create 40,000 construction and 1,000 permanent jobs.

Our Rail Infrastructure business seeks to hire a motivated sub-project lead for the Vehicle Maintenance Facility with PMP Certification. This role is based out of Las Vegas, NV, but will include approximately 10% travel to visit our suppliers, job sites, and partners throughout the sub-project you will support. The project scope is centered around the full spectrum of all systems for Rail Infrastructure:

  • Interlocking
  • Traffic Management System
  • Various Detection Systems
  • Traction Power Substation
  • Overhead Catenary System
  • CCTV and Access Control
  • Communication Backbone
  • Maintenance Radio

    What your day-to-day will look like:

    Our Sub-Project Manager lead successful execution with a focus on resolving interfaces and driving different internal business segments to a fully integrated technical implementation. Your success will be measured on schedule achievement, integration, customer success, and financial results.
    • Maintain constant and clear communication with customers, key suppliers, outside contractors, management, and other partners.
    • Drive overall sub-project planning and resolve integration concerns.
    • Build and maintain project timeline. Align landmarks between the customer and internal partners.
    • Set delivery expectations with the customer - Raise potential delays early in the process and identify actions to mitigate them.
    • Drive schedule and deliverables with Engineering, Procurement, and Quality functions
    • Navigate and align the execution of the sub-project closely with partners of the involved business segments
    • Initiate actions to minimize non-conformance costs and seize opportunities to improve project financials. Negotiate contract change orders and claims.
    • Align with PM standards and Business Conduct Guidelines.

      To thrive in this role, you have:

      • Outstanding Communication skills
      • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) or Construction Management
      • A minimum of 3-5 years in a related position
      • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification with a solid understanding of project management processes & tools
      • Experience in the signaling, communication and or electrification ecosystem as it relates to contractors, suppliers, and customers with skills and knowledge applicable to the business.

The base salary range for this position in Las Vegas, NV, is $109,100 - $147,200, and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
