Overview Open & closing dates 06/03/2019 to 06/11/2019 Service Excepted Pay scale & grade AD 00 Salary $24 to $24 per hour Appointment type Temporary - Temporary Appointment less than a year with a possible extension NTE 9/30/2020. Position may be extended at management's discretion. Work schedule Full-Time - The work schedule for this position is Mixed Tour. With a Mixed Tour work schedule, an employee may be changed between full-time, part-time and intermittent work schedules to accommodate fluctuating workloads and is subject to a signed agreement. Location FEW vacancies in the following location: North Las Vegas, NV Relocation expenses reimbursed No Telework eligible No Duties Summary Duty station for this position is at the North Las Vegas Area Census Office (ACO). In order to be considered, ALL APPLICANTS MUST RESIDE within the commuting distance to North Las Vegas ACO, which is located in the 89030 Zip Code. Relocation will not be paid. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities The individual selected for this position will: 1. Oversee the activities of field data collection and directly supervise an assigned team of Census Field Supervisors and office support clerks. 2. Directly supervise approximately 10-15 Census Field Supervisors and approximately 3-5 clerks. 3. Provide group and individual training, monitor daily assignments and provide advice and guidance to subordinate staff. 4. Establish an effective working relationship with traditionally hard to enumerate populations or with specific populations indigenous to the area within the office boundaries which incumbent is responsible for, including community, religious, or other characteristics. 5. Assure that specific levels of quality and progress of field operations are being met through analysis of various computer-generated reports and observation. 6. Review and analyze cost, quality, and progress reports to assure operations are coordinated within prescribed time allocations and quality and cost-efficient standards. Experience Overseeing and providing guidance directly to staff. Experience monitoring overlapping projects. Experience working in a team environment, to negotiate with others in order to secure support from multiple businesses and organizations. Experience communicating with diverse populations. Experience setting priorities and developing, monitoring and/or analyzing detailed program/project requirements and implementation schedules. Experience reviewing cost, quality, and progress reports.
