Job Description:
The Business Security, Health & Safety Integration Manager plays
a key role in contributing toward the safety, security and health
of Adventures by Disney (ABD) and National Geographic Expeditions
(NGE) Guests and worldwide operations through partnership and
integration of policies and procedures into operations. You will
track ABD and NGE trip operations, proactively monitor security
alerts, and work with the Walt Disney Company's Global Security
teams, Risk Management and Worldwide Safety Services (WSS) to
proactively assess, integrate and respond to any situation that
might or has impacted the safety, security and health of our guests
and trip operations. You will also coordinate communication,
including the creation and sustainment of processes and procedures
across various teams including Leadership, Trip Development,
Operations, Global Partnerships, Marketing, Public Affairs and
Relations, Contact Center, and Guest Communications in the event of
a potential safety/security issue or emergency.
Responsibilities :
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable the Adventures & Expeditions
(A&E) Business Security, Health & Safety Integration team to
collaborate on issues that may impact the safety and security of
ABD and NGE Guests and trip operations. Work closely with the
Director, Security, National Geographic at Disney, as well as other
critical Global Security partners to deliver and integrate systems,
procedures, security standards, emergency response/crisis
management, business continuity, health standards, metrics and
ensure the business operates within agreed upon standards.
- Ensure A&E Incident Management Plans are reviewed and
updated on an annual basis for both Owned and Operated, as well as
brand licensed relationships. Facilitate the delivery of
Safety/Security/Health Training Sessions, in partnership with the
relevant teams, for full time cast members, Adventure Guides, and
Expedition Leaders to review plans and conduct training exercises
in partnership with Global Crisis Management.
- Monitor the tracking of ABD and NGE Trip Operations and
proactively review security alerts to identify situations that
might impact the safety of our travelers and/or trip operations.
Ensure timely responses in the event of a potential
safety/security/health issue or emergency. Communicate relevant
information to appropriate teams and work with the Global Security
team to convey recommendations and mitigate risk. Make
recommendations on the flowchart of internal communications between
GITA, GSCC, WSS, Leadership, Trip Development, Operations, Global
Partnerships, Marketing, Public Affairs/Public
Relations/Communications, Contact Center and Guest Communication
when responding to a potential safety/security/health issue or
emergency.
- Participate in a Manager on Duty rotation to monitor incoming
calls for emergencies and trip disruptions. These situations can
occur out of regular office hours and weekends.
- Facilitate the process for the review of all ABD and NGE
itineraries and ensure accurate feedback is provided to the
Operations, Trip Development and Global Partnerships teams
regarding any potential safety/security/health concerns given the
destinations. Work with Global Security to obtain a strategic
threat analysis when needed. Coordinate security inspections in
partnership with Trip Development, Operations and an
internal/external security team when needed.
- Manage the overall process for health protocols of the A&E
operation, including creation, documentation, approval and
communication of these protocols, impacting guests and cast/staff
on trips. These protocols are for both own and operated trips as
well as global partners.
- Liaise with Risk Management to establish processes and
procedures around the vetting and approval of experiences for our
trips. Facilitate the day-to-day operation of those processes
integrating Trip Ops and Global Partnerships with Risk Management,
becoming our team's subject matter expert.
Basic Qualifications :
- 5+ years' experience in risk/crisis management, project
management, compliance, logistics, tour operations, or
equivalent.
- Demonstrated interest in risk management, global issues and
security efforts a plus.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills
necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to manage heavy workloads, prioritize work
appropriately, and meet assigned deadlines.
- Ability to create and maintain basic tracking systems.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to manage internal
and external resources and work collaboratively with
cross-functional and diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills; ability to proactively identify
and implement effective solutions.
- Experience working with a variety of technology solutions to
optimize work and processes. Tech savvy.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills (including
attention to detail).
- Proficient with Word, Excel.
Required Education :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
