Optum Care Community Center of Nevada -is seeking a -Lead
Advanced Practice Clinician -to join our team in beautiful Las
Vegas! At Optum, we are -transforming healthcare nationally while
providing Physician-led care locally.
Position Highlights
Complete Medicare yearly wellness exams for seniors and provide
some primary care.
Clinic hours and locations are variable: Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm vs.
8am-5pm
Minimal call time
Dedicated administrative time.

Leadership Responsibilities
-
Acts as the APC liaison to the Adult Medicine leadership team,
championing views and concerns of OC3; promotes a collaborative
relationship between adult medicine, specialty providers, and OC3.
-
Participates in developing and implementing programs to increase
visit volume at OC3.
Participates in developing and implementing organization specific
initiatives around coding, documentation, STAR, HEDIS, and
PCMH.
Participates in weekly and monthly meetings with operations
leadership and regional director to decide on strategy for the NV
market.
Monitor daily and monthly reports for in clinic, home, and mobile
unit visits.
Shift resources to cover the sick call/call out schedules.
Create and provide back up for the overtime schedules.
Monitor provider engagement and patient satisfaction.
Do chart audits for HEDIS/STAR gap closure and coding
documentation.
Participates in various committees as assigned.
Track glidepaths and assist to shift resources.
Set MAP goals and complete common reviews.
Hiring and training new providers.
Promotes the organizational culture. -
Personnel management

Clinician Responsibilities
-
Provides diagnosis, treatment, therapy, and management of patients
according to current standards of care utilizing best practices
recommendation.
Utilizes evidence-based care processes for cost-effective and
efficient use of lab, radiology, and extended service
providers.
Collaborates with the patient's primary care provider and provides
direction and advice to other OC3 providers on any complex issues
or cases.
Provide guidance to nursing personal on treatment plans and care
coordination.
Maintains knowledge of, and teach such to other OC3 providers,
STAR, HEDIS, and medical coding and diagnosis requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Current NP/ PA license in the state of Nevada or ability to
attain.
Board Certified or in the process of obtaining certification.
Greater than 3 years of experience in providing Medicare yearly
exams under a Global Risk/Medicare Advantage Model
Mastery of coding and documentation with ability to teach to
others.
Experience with training and/or personnel management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fluency in EMR systems & technology
Nevada -Residents Only: The salary range for Nevada -residents is
$110,040 to $139,000. -Pay is based on several factors including
but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
