Job Description:This requisition is open to candidates at
multiple levels of experience and certification: Registry Eligible,
Echo/Vascular Tech I, II, and III. Placement will be determined
based on qualifications, competencies, and years of service.The
Echo/Vascular Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic cardiac
and/or vascular ultrasound exams under the direction of a
physician. These exams assist in identifying abnormalities that
contribute to accurate patient diagnosis and treatment planning.

schedules diagnostic exams appropriately. Coordinates with
physicians, other caregivers, and patients to ensure timely and
efficient care.Prepares for exams by verifying patient identity,
educating patients and families about procedures, and ensuring safe
transport when needed.Performs cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound
exams following established protocols, ensuring high-quality
imaging and patient comfort throughout the procedure.Communicates
effectively with physicians and care teams regarding findings and
patient needs. Ensures safe return of patient’s post-exam and
monitors for stability.Documents exam results accurately and apply
appropriate charge codes for procedures and supplies.Maintains
cleanliness and functionality of equipment and work areas. Reports
on repair or supply needs through appropriate channels.Participate
in team initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and department
goals.Engages in ongoing education and training to maintain
clinical competence and expand skills.May assist in mentoring,
training, or orienting new team members depending on experience
level.May participate in departmental meetings, educational
conferences, or serve as a resource in areas such as quality,
education, or technical expertise.Minimum QualificationsRegistry
EligibleCompletion of an accredited cardiac or vascular sonography
programEligible for ARDMS or CCI certificationBasic Life Support
(BLS) certification for healthcare providersTech IARDMS or CCI
certification in cardiac or vascular sonographyBasic Life Support
(BLS) certification for healthcare providersTech IIARDMS or CCI
certification in cardiac or vascular sonographyBasic Life Support
(BLS) certification for healthcare providersMinimum of 2 years of
clinical experience in cardiac or vascular sonographyTech IIIARDMS
or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonographyBasic Life
Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providersMust meet all
the following:Certification/Registry Requirements:Hold three
national registry credentials through ARDMS, CCI, or ASNORHold one
registry credential plus:?15 years of cardiology/healthcare
serviceOR ?10 years of cardiology/healthcare service plus a
Bachelor’s or Master’s degreeCompetency Requirements (experience in
any of the following):Adult congenital echoPediatric echoStructural
heart interventions:Aortic, mitral, tricuspid, pulmonic valve
interventionsValve-in-valve proceduresAlcohol ablation for HOCMLead
extractionsPerivalvular leaks or septal closuresCath Lab/OR
supportVascular surgery assistancePelvic congestion vascular
competencyPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree from an
accredited institution (degree will be verified)Physical
Requirements:Ongoing need for employee to see and read information,
labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment
and supplies.Frequent interactions with patient care providers,
patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally
communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information,
alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly
during emergency situations.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers
to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and
accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for
documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication
preparation, etc.Expected to lift and utilize full range of
movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift,
and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of
varying weights, up to and including heavy items.Need to walk and
assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and
distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling
gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often
required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment,
power cords on the floor, etc.)May be expected to stand in a
stationary position for an extended period of time.For roles
requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires
sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other
