Basic Job Functions: Nucor Insulated Panel Group is seeking a strong candidate for the position of Human Resources Administrator in North Las Vegas, NV. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and a wide range of HR support to our team while maintaining confidentiality and integrity of HR and payroll data.
The role of the Human Resources Administrator includes, but is not limited to:
Providing exceptional HR support by supporting and reflecting the organization's mission, core values, and objectives
Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new teammates
Maintaining and ensuring company compliance by reviewing and updating policies and procedures; monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; and maintaining records
Supporting all aspects of benefits administration and serving as liaison between teammates and insurance carriers
Administering FMLA, assisting with Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance claims
Managing various company sponsored programs and/or projects, such as scholarships, educational reimbursements, etc.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications: 4-year degree in Human Resources or 2 years equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of employment laws and procedures (COBRA, FMLA, and related State and Federal regulations)
Communication - Effectively expresses ideas or tasks to an individual or group. - Demonstrates effective listening skills through receiving feedback, following instructions, and showing a genuine interest in others.
Organizing, Planning & Prioritizing Work - Developing specific goals and plans for prioritizing, organizing, and accomplishing individual work and/or the work of the team.
Initiative - Being proactive with seeking out work that needs to be done and being willing to take on responsibilities and challenges.
Attention to Detail - Thorough in accomplishing tasks, no matter how small they may be, and taking care to make sure that expectations are met.
Dependability & Accountability - Being reliable, responsible, and committed to fulfilling obligations. Displays responsibility -with work habits and has ability to hold others accountable for desired results.
Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in human resources, recruiting, benefit administration, and coordination of people and resources.
