Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Job Title: Business Architect
Las Vegas, NV or Remote Reports to: Manager, Product Integration
Department: Delivery Services Summary: As a Business Architect, you
will play a pivotal role in translating business strategy into
actionable capability and value-stream models, within an Agile
delivery environment (Scrum, Kanban). You will work at the
intersection of business, product, technology and operations —
ensuring that our product development, platform investments and
operational processes are aligned, scalable, customer-centric and
responsive to change. This individual engages with clients to
implement technology solutions to drive customer value by
determining the requirements of a product/technology, or program,
and communicating them clearly to the delivery team and
stakeholders. The ideal candidate can break through complexity and
ambiguity while creating a shared understanding. The Business
Architect will actively engage with clients and internal teams to
facilitate discovery sessions to distill key needs and collaborate
with strategy, design, engineering, and technology teams to
translate those needs into project requirements. The BA will have
experience engaging with clients in requirements discovery,
definition, and management. Key Responsibilities Strategy &
Capability Architecture Translate business strategy, market
insights and product vision into business architecture artifacts
including a workable backlog, business requirements documents,
delivery plans and accountability for ensuring all support
documentation is updated when appropriate Maintain and evolve the
business architecture framework for the fintech domain — including
shaping how product development, technology and operations work
together. Identify capability gaps, overlaps, redundancies and
dependencies; develop roadmaps for capability evolution, reuse,
simplification and transformation. Partner with senior business,
product and technology stakeholders to prioritize sprint work and
delivery plans within product teams or initiative teams Extensive
experience handling requirement changes and negotiating
prioritization amongst respective stakeholders(s) Process &
Value-Stream Design Drives facilitation of the delivery framework
for strategic initiatives Facilitate cross-functional workshops
with product, operations, risk/compliance, technology, data and
marketing teams to redesign processes in service of scalability,
improved customer experience and operational resilience. Ensure
that business process architectures support desired customer
journeys, regulatory requirements and technology platform
capabilities (e.g., microservices, APIs, cloud). Alignment of
Business Technology Collaborate with solution architects to ensure
that business architecture artifacts remain aligned with technology
architectures — ensuring that capability roadmaps, business
processes and organizational changes can be supported by the
technology estate. Provide business-context guidance to product
development teams to ensure that technical solutions map to the
right business capabilities, value streams and performance metrics
(e.g., speed to market, cost to serve, risk mitigation). Work with
engineering leads to prioritize platform enablers, define
non-functional requirements (scalability, data lineage, resiliency)
in business terms, and track business value realization. Governance
& Artifact Management Establish and promote best practices for
business architecture within the organization: templates,
standards, workshops, training, governance forums. Stakeholder
Management & Change Enablement Act as a trusted advisor to business
leaders to understand their goals, challenges and operating
context, and translate that into meaningful deliverables.
Facilitate and lead workshops across business, product, risk,
operations and technology functions to build alignment, surface
dependencies and drive consensus on architecture direction (e.g.
AARs, planning events, etc.) Support transformation, change efforts
by working with project leads, change management, communications
and operations teams to ensure that business-architecture outcomes
are embedded into delivery and operational run-states. Metrics,
Insights & Continuous Improvement Use data and insights to inform
continuous improvement of the business architecture practice —
refine the blueprint, identify new capability opportunities, and
adjust roadmap accordingly. Monitor and report out on sprint and
backlog health metrics to ensure team efficiencies and
effectiveness. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business,
Finance, Information Systems, Engineering or related field (MBA
preferred) Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in business
architecture, enterprise architecture, strategic consulting,
business transformation or a related role — preferably within
financial services or fintech. Strong experience in developing
business capability maps, value stream modelling, business
operating models, process redesign, and strategic alignment.
Excellent facilitation, presentation and stakeholder-management
skills — able to engage senior executives and drive consensus.
Strong analytical skills: able to synthesize business strategy,
market/competitive context, data/insights and technology
implications into coherent architecture recommendations. Prior
exposure to fintech business models (e.g., digital payments,
lending platforms, open banking, embedded finance) is highly
desirable. Knowledge of regulatory environment and risk/compliance
implications in financial services is a plus. Familiarity with
enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman) or business
architecture certification (e.g., BCS Practitioner) is considered a
benefit. Key Competencies & Behaviors Strategic mindset: able to
think long-term about business models, capabilities and competitive
differentiation. Systems thinking; sees interrelationships,
dependencies, value-flows across business, data, technology and
operation domains. Influencing and collaboration: able to engage
and persuade senior stakeholders, build shared understanding, drive
alignment. Agility and adaptability: comfortable with ambiguity,
high pace, iterative delivery and fintech innovation context.
Communication excellence: able to present complex architecture
thoughts in clear, business-friendly terms; workshops, briefings,
artefacts. Customer-centric and value-driven: keeps the
end-customer journey front and center; aligns architecture work
with measurable business outcomes. Perks & Benefits! A great
company that is focused on team building, and career pathing for
its team! Join a team that is fun, friendly, and customer-focused!
