As a Systems Administrator , you are the digital backbone of our manufacturing operations. You ensure the systems that design and build flight-critical hardware are secure, stable, and efficient. You aren't just fixing computers; you are managing the complex infrastructure that allows our engineers and operators to launch the future. From managing Active Directory and Office 365 to scripting automation and maintaining legacy systems, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and uptime of our IT environment. Duties and Responsibilities System Deployment: Build and manage deployable OS images using MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) and WDS (Windows Deployment Services) to ensure standardized, secure workstation provisioning. Identity & Policy Management: Architect and maintain Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO). You will manage user access, enforce security policies, and ensure proper organizational unit (OU) structure. Security & Compliance: Configure hardware, services, and settings in accordance with strict security standards. This includes evaluating and installing OS patches, firmware updates, and system upgrades via WSUS to mitigate vulnerabilities. Infrastructure Management: Coordinate and conduct performance tuning of advanced operating system hardware and software. You will handle everything from PC workstation hardware upgrades to network troubleshooting. Automation: Work to streamline IT operations by identifying opportunities to automate repetitive management tasks using PowerShell or Python. Documentation & Control: Plan and execute rigorous documentation, asset inventory, and IT control procedures to ensure we are audit-ready at all times. End-User Support: Assist with desktop and end-user support as needed, handling escalated technical issues that require deep system knowledge. Requirements: Legal: Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum (due to ITAR requirements). Education: BA/BS in Information Technology (or related field) OR equivalent professional experience. Windows Ecosystem: Thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows Client (Windows 7–10) and Server environments (Server 2012–2019). System Administration: Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Administration, MDT, WDS, and WSUS. Cloud & Linux: Proficiency in Office 365 Administration. Experience with Linux Operating Systems is also required. Automation: Knowledge of automation scripting with PowerShell and Python. Networking: Solid experience with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs). Documentation: Proven ability to write clear technical and training documentation. Soft Skills: Ability to work well within a team and simultaneously use one’s own initiative. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to support any project with which IT is involved, including support of development, process, and user team members.
