Job Description:
Overview Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is seeking
a full-time PACS Administrator/Program Specialist to work with us
in support of the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare system in North Las
Vegas, Nevada. The selected candidate will provide guidance,
instruction, maintenance, and trouble-shooting services in the
day-to-day operation of the VA---s PACS, Voice Recognition System
(VR), and the radiology package in the Veterans Integrated Systems
Technology Architecture (VISTA). Must be ARRT certified with 3
Years as a PACS Program Specialist This position requires knowledge
of computer and imaging systems in a Local Access Network (LAN)
environment. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in
assisting the PACS Manager with the planning, development,
installation, and operation of the PACS network elements, as well
as the integration of these elements with related systems. The
selected candidate will be directly responsible for the accurate
delivery of digital images for appropriate clinical staff viewing
throughout the VA Medical Center. Schedule: Full-time Monday
through Friday; however, this is a 24/7 support requirement that
could necessitate after-hours support. Contract Duration: An
initial 4-6 months with potential long-term extensions.
Responsibilities Evaluating, monitoring, and continuously improving
various imaging informatic workflows with the Imaging Services
(PACS, VR, all VISTA Imaging Interfaces) Devising means to maintain
continuity of workflow through normal and degraded systems
conditions Resolving common and unusual operating problems Ensuring
calibrations of diagnostic quality medical grade monitors Managing
image/patient demographic dataflows Working with vendors and
servicing personnel to troubleshoot problems with hardware and
software Coordinates with Imaging Service Supervisory Staff to
ensure routine maintenance and downtime will only affect patient
workflow to a minimal degree Acts as a back-up Automated Data
Application Coordinator (ADPAC) Qualifications US Citizen Knowledge
of image visualization software and understanding of the principles
of digital imaging acquisition, management, archive and
communication Knowledge of integrated speech recognition system and
Radiology Information Systems (RIS) Able to solve routine and
complex problems related to PACS Advanced knowledge and skills with
Windows based systems and a working knowledge of UNIX based systems
Thorough knowledge of a variety of imaging modalities and the
display characteristics of each (ex. X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI,
PET, Nuclear Medicine---etc.) Command of theory and new development
sufficient to apply judgment to solve routine and more complex
problems related to radiology equipment, PACS, computer
workstations, and radiation safety All candidate must be able to:
Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above
shoulders during the work shift Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to
waist Lift up to 20 lbs Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
