Job Description:

Shipping Coordinator PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION This position is responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate processing of all the shipping, receiving and put away activities. MAJOR AREAS OF PERFORMANCE --- Shipping o Prepare paperwork and assemble orders for shipment o Responsible for shipping freight, conventions and normal orders o Work with shipping companies to schedule trucks o Prepare packing list and bill of lading (BOL) via manifest system o Creation of export documentation for international shipment o Maximize load density and efficiencies --- Receiving o Verify receipts and orders for accuracy, count and note damage exceptions on bill of lading o Update all reports necessary to track receiving metrics o Schedule receiving appointments and update appropriate forms o Responsible for handling incoming returned materials --- Both Shipping & Receiving o Update Warehouse Management System (WMS) with transactions o Report any discrepancies as necessary o Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation o Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations o Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns o Participate in process Improvement by communicating to supervisor and/or team lead o Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area o Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices and work instructions.
