video at Responsibilities:RESPONSIBILITIES:Review all forms filed
by depots including Initial Report of Injury for content/
completenessWork with depot manager, injured worker, treating
practitioner and Board in cases of lost time to obtain capability
and limitation information to initiate ESRTWRegular follow-up with
all parties re progress of rehabilitationLiaison between board, and
branch management relating to specific claims and workers'
compensation policyPursue transfer of cost and second injury cost
relief when possible/ appropriateFile claim decision appeals when
appropriatePrepare for and represent at Board appeals and
mediationsProvide monthly statistics, quarterly claim and financial
status report to Claims ManagerStrategize with Claims Manager and
Safety Department to effectively create ways to control work comp
lossesAttend Regional Area meetings to discuss work comp issues,
injury prevention and claims handlingAssist managers in obtaining
Clearance Certificates from various boardsCommunication of and
adherence to Injury Prevention (IP) standardsEstablishes a database
and tracks safety statsQualifications:Experience working with auto
and general liability, garage, and transportation claimsExperience
handling litigated files and direction of defense counsel.Excellent
negotiation skills.Licensure as required by the respective
state(s).Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to
organize, multi-task, and prioritize work.Excellent customer
service and interpersonal skills.The above statements are intended
