Job Description Job Description JOB SUMMARY A Student Marketing
Officer (SMO) intern will build, extend and strengthen the RebelsCU
on-campus presence by building and fostering relationships with
other students and members of the University, promote financial
literacy and educate members on the appropriate products and
services while supporting the on-campus branch. This role will
focus on marketing support for the RebelsCU program and involve
engaging with students/members through events, educational
workshops, membership drives, and other related on-campus branch
functions. LEARNING OBJECTIVES Career exploration within the

available. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing/Digital/Social Media Conceptualizes and executes an
annual marketing strategy that supports the business strategy.
Conceptualizes and produces marketing materials for advertising,
promotions, events, etc. Maintains the promotional content of the
RebelsCU website. Manages various social media platforms, e.g.,
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn,(or other social media
platforms as determined) establishes a content strategy and KPIs,
and provides reporting and recommendations for ongoing improvement.
Brainstorms and creates out of the box opportunities to promote and
increase the presence of RebelsCU. May coordinate and conduct
market research and student focus groups to provide
recommendations, problem solve, develop and execute strategies.
Student & Member Engagement Organizes, leads, and executes
on-campus promotions and events, such as but not limited to,
membership drives, member appreciation events, and financial
literacy programs. Develops, facilitates and in some cases conduct
financial literacy events or programs. Leverages and engages
partnerships across campus, such as student clubs, residence halls,
university organizations, academic departments, administration,
faculty, staff, alumni association, etc. to expand presence and
reach Engages marketing tools available on-campus (i.e. student
newspaper, student websites, social media, email distribution
lists, etc.) to further the marketing capability of RebelsCU.
Researches and develops strategic projects and campaigns specific
to the RebelsCU College Strategy such as making recommendations for
improvements to the current initiatives and proposing future
projects. Connects with students, faculty, and staff to promote
RebelsCU and its services. May educate students on financial
wellness, budgeting, and responsible practices under the guidance
of the Branch Manager. Branch Engagement Establishes new and
maintains existing member accounts by encouraging students to
become members and/or informing member of new products and/or
services. Identifies, recommends and sells appropriate RebelsCU
products and services to create a fully engaged financial
relationship in accordance with the business strategy. Assists
members with ATM usage, digital banking, or provide any
additional/necessary member resources. Assists with account
opening, providing information on products/services and handling
basic transactions. Timely tracks and reports on outcomes on all
products, services, referrals and other relevant metrics are deemed
appropriate. May organize and coordinate various functions for the
branch. Administrative Supports ways of communication between
RebelsCU and the University. Understands the overall concept of
RebelsCU, including the brand, members, product goals and all other
aspects of service. Cross training through our divisions of
responsibilities and provides ideas to grow and improve the
business. As appropriate to the position and as specified by unit
management, accepts designated, business-focus projects to
research, propose ideas and solutions, and presents project,
program or product recommendations to management. Engages with
members and employees and provides service. Provides suggestions to
management for improving member service and internal processes.
Learns and becomes proficient in internal software systems.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Completes all
regulatory compliances as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word,
PowerPoint, and Excel) and graphic design software (Adobe Creative
Suite, Canva, etc.). Demonstrated proficiency in managing websites
and social media platforms. Proficiency in creating promotions,
events, activities, social media campaigns, or other sales tactics
designed to create awareness and drive consumer interest.
