Directs all activities of the Maintenance department, including maintenance, servicing and repair of all vehicles, across multiple facilities or largest properties.Ensures the effective management of maintenance departments and personnelSelects, trains, motivates, and evaluates Maintenance ManagersProvides oversight for maintenance compliance with site-specific contractsEnsures that company and client property and equipment is maintained and operating efficientlyMonitors inventory and inventory controlsEnsures that each site follows appropriate and compliant safety policies and proceduresOversees the development and administration of the operational budget; creates strategies to ensure that locations are fiscally soundIdentifies opportunities for improving service delivery methodsOther duties as required.Education, Licensing, and Certifications Required:High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, requiredEducation, Licensing, and Certifications Preferred:Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferredExperience:5 years or more of management experience of multiple sites in the repair and maintenance of vehicles, including experience managing in a union environmentClass B or higher Commercial Driver's License with passenger and airbrake endorsements requiredSkills and Knowledge Required: Strong written and oral communication skillsBroad understanding of all mechanical systems related to heavy duty transportation vehiclesKnowledge of federal, state, and local commercial vehicle regulationsWorking knowledge of safety and worker compensation policies and requirementsProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointProven experience in budget preparation and managementAbility to establish and maintain strong working relationships with all company departments, clients, regulatory agencies and vendorsAbility to work well with laborTravel requirement (as a percent):
