Job Description Job Description BC Forward is looking for Community Relations Representative 1 in Las Vegas, NV 89128 Position Title: Community Relations Representative 1 Locations: 2500 N Buffalo Dr Ste 250, Las Vegas, NV 89128 Anticipated Start Date: 11/25 Expected Duration: 12 months Job Type: Contract with possible extension Pay rate: $20/hr on W2 Note: Nye County, White Pine County (Ely), Humboldt County (Winnemucca), and Carson City. Candidates located near any of these counties are encouraged to apply. Mileage reimbursement and travel time compensation will be provided. Need: Community health worker (CHW) experience. Job Description: Daily Schedule & Training Overview: Training Phase: Day 1: Compliance training. Duration: Approximately 1.5 weeks before beginning shadowing. Includes: Medicaid program education SilverSummit Health Plan education Communication guidance (what to say and what not to say) Shadowing experienced team members Work Hours: Average: 20 hours per person per week Schedule: Flexible and event-driven, depending on community outreach schedules and locations. Overtime (OT): Not typically required; may vary based on event needs. Summary: The Community Relations Specialist is responsible for leading activities to achieve membership and enrollment goals through a variety of initiatives, including marketing projects, new market development, health fairs, community events, member retention activities, sales visibility, broker and provider engagement, lead generation, vendor outreach, and networking opportunities. This role may also involve researching and assessing market and business opportunities. Job Responsibilities: Plan, develop, coordinate, collaborate, and conduct events such as meetings, presentations, trainings, product orientations, focus groups, field marketing events, and other projects. Develop and maintain business relationships that create opportunities to increase membership and meet enrollment targets. Represent the department at internal and external meetings, including vendor, departmental, cross-functional, community, and provider meetings. Create and deliver presentations for sales, broker product training, member retention meetings, new member orientation, and outreach activities. Serve as a department liaison for market materials, collateral rollouts, inventory management, and reporting. Act as the point person for key projects and assist management in developing departmental workflows, policies, and procedures related to strategy, planning, product review, collateral development, and sales strategies. Identify and initiate opportunities for field marketing events, grassroots lead generation, provider co-op events, and other community-based venues, coordinating with the sales team for successful execution. Develop plans to increase crossover enrollment and assist in outreach activities as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: High School Diploma 0–2 years of experience. Typical Day in the Role Work Environment: 80% field-based, 20% in-office. Daily Activities: Support full-time staff during community outreach events; attend events in person; set up resource tables; distribute educational materials; assist with giveaways. Schedule: Flexible, with possible overtime depending on event schedules. Team Interaction: High interaction during events and collaboration with internal outreach staff. Candidate Requirements Education/Certification: Required: High School Diploma Preferred: Additional certifications or coursework in community health or outreach Licensure: Not required Experience: Must-Haves: Public speaking skills Comfort working with vulnerable populations Reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Outgoing personality and ability to work independently Nice-to-Haves: Community Health Worker (CHW) experience Disqualifiers: Lack of reliable transportation or inability to meet physical/work environment requirements.
