Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of
Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
candidate is needed for a K-12 public school located in Mesquite,
NM. This contract position covers the current school year (CSY),
with an immediate start and employment through the end of the
school year (EOSY). The role is based primarily at an elementary
school with a caseload of approximately 60 students, including
three Structured Communication Classrooms (SCCs). Key
Responsibilities: Provide speech-language therapy services to
students, focusing on current therapy needs and caseload
management. Collaborate with bilingual colleagues in a supportive
team environment. Support students using augmentative and
alternative communication (AAC) systems; willingness to learn and
develop this skill is encouraged. Comply with district requirements
and educational guidelines to facilitate student progress.
Qualifications and Experience: Possession of NM state licensure is
mandatory. Candidates must have applied for licensure prior to the
start date. New Mexico Public Education Department (PED)
certification is required; pending status is acceptable if NM
licensure is active. Experience working in a school setting as an
SLP with CCC certification is preferred. Bilingual skills in
English and Spanish are ideal but not required due to existing
bilingual staff. Ability to work onsite full-time preferred, with
part-time options considered under certain conditions. Location
